Current Conditions: Kebler Pass Area
Rides near Kebler Pass, West of the Town of Crested Butte.
Kebler Pass Wagon Road Conditions: The eastern portion of the trail, closest to the Town of CB is great. The next parts are damp and with the warm weather will dry our soon. Our Pres John Chandler rode it on 6-21-10 and this is what he had to say" The Wagon trail we built last year and the year before for the overnights, its like it never happened in a lot of places. Last years spot is bone dry, two years ago section is quite muddy, but they need to be hit hard, like real hard, like monster truck rally hard. The trail is completely grown over in several spots. Please all tell your friends to tell their friends to go and ride this track to make it exist before its too late." |

The Dyke Trail Conditions: Our Pres John Chandler road it on June 21st...this is what he had to say, " It was in great shape and fun to ride, the climbs were like they were paved. However, all the little creek crossings were very muddy. On the downhills there were several down trees per section, especially the long descent at the end, some small, some huge. The downhills were full of sketchy branches and such just waiting to get in your wheel or in our case break your derailleur. Then there were plenty of trees and branches leaning into the trail waiting to joust you with a vengeance as in my case. Great fun but a wild ride right now"
Ride from town using the Kebler Wagon Road. |
